Pan & Bakeware Converter

You have an 8″ round and the recipe calls for a 9 × 13. Or you have one loaf pan when the recipe wants two. Open Side Menu -> Tools -> Pan & Bakeware Converter and the math is done for you.

How it works

Pick your starting pan and the pan you want to use. For each pan you can either tap a preset (common sizes for that shape) or type custom dimensions.

The converter produces a scale multiplier which can be applied to your recipe. It is the ratio of the two pans' capacities - the replacement pan's capacity divided by the starting pan's. Please do note that this estimate helps you scale contents, but you may need to adjust temperature and time accordingly.

Notes

  • Scale structural ingredients (flour, sugar, fat, liquid) by the multiplier, but adjust leavening, salt, and eggs by feel rather than multiplying them blindly, especially for large changes.
